Starry Constellation magazine (article original ici...)Par Lisa Steinberg Q. What are some of the recent projects that you've been working on? A. I have been doing so many projects lately! This Friday I am leaving to go Oklahoma to shoot a film called The Lamp which is going to be a lot of fun, I look forward to shooting that. I just finished a movie called Home Run Showdown and I also just finished a movie that's premiering on the 15th of this month that I co-wrote with my father called Pure Country 2: The Gift. Obviously there is also Kill Katie Malone which is a Horror movie. Q. What can you tell us about the premise for your film Kill Katie Malone and about your character? A. It's a Horror movie and my character is involved all throughout the movie and I am one of the victims if you will, but I'm one fighting back, I'm somebody who kind of already knows what's going on. I know more than you do as the audience immediately in the early part of the movie and you can't figure out what I'm doing. As it starts to progress you start to realize, oh this guy, he understands exactly what's going on. Q. What made you want to be a part of this project? A. The way they brought it to me was it's a Horror movie, it's only a few days of work for you, there's a lot of screaming, your character is here, here, and here and here's what it is. I had never really done a Horror movie so I thought this would be a lot of fun. I looked at the material and thought it was a lot of fun and spoke to the director and absolutely loved his ideas. I loved what he had to say, Carlos is fantastic! I jumped into it and I was quite happy. Q. Was there anything about the role that you found challenging? A. My daughter didn't seem old enough to be my daughter, I was like my God, I am old enough to have a daughter this age? That was a little bit shocking, that was maybe the hardest thing for me mentally. Aside from that I would say physically it was tough and there were some really awesome and tough stunts that were done. That was the part that was the most difficult for me, the stunts, they were tough. Q. Where did you draw from for your portrayal? A. Nowhere in particular, you look at the classic Horror films and you sort of draw upon those, all of those films you grew up watching. I'll tell you this, the thing that surprised me the most about shooting a Horror film was how much fun it was. I had a blast shooting the Horror film, I had a great time with it, it was really fun. Q. How was getting to work with Carlos Ramos Jr. on the film? A. Carlos was fantastic, he really knows what he's doing and when you come in as an actor it's great to have a director who is dead on, ready to go! There is no question, he's ready and he knows what he's doing, he knows how he wants things to look, how he wants things to sound, and that's a very comfortable environment for an actor. He's also very collaborative and open to any ideas that you have but he's very specific. I really enjoyed Carlos a lot, I think he's a very talented filmmaker, and I say that before even seeing a frame of the movie. Q. Why do you think viewers will want to take the time to check out the movie? A. I think everybody loves a good Horror film and I think that's just it. You bring a date to squeeze up next to you and it's a lot of fun. It's entertainment value, that's really what it is. Q. What would you like to say to your fans and supporters? A. I would like to say thank you tremendously for supporting me. I feel like I am still in the infancy of my career and I can't wait to do more and different kinds of work. I appreciate everybody out there who supports me.

Kill Katie Malone stars an ensemble cast known for their hit TV shows including: Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman), Masiela Lusha (George Lopez Show), Stephen Colleti (One Tree Hill), Lil J (Disney Channel’s That’s So Raven) and Nick Hogan (son of Hulk Hogan, Hogan Knows Best). The film centers on college students and best friends Ginger Matheson (Masiela Lusha), Jim Duncan (Stephen Colleti), and Kyle "Dixie" Canning (Lil J), who pool their cash to buy a "ghost" in an online auction. The three think it's all a goof, but once they open up the antique box to examine their "treasure," they unleash the vengeful spirit of a young girl who has been wreaking havoc on her owners throughout the generations. Savages Crossing, written and produced by John Jarratt, of the hit flick Wolf Creek, stars Craig McLachlan (Neighbours), Sacha Horler (Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole), Chris Haywood (Shine), Angela Punch McGregor (Terra Nova) and Jessica Napier (Ghost Rider). Savages Crossing tells of a group of strangers who take shelter in an outback roadhouse while a flood rages around them. But not everyone is who they first appear to be. The innocent among them quickly discover that the danger lurking within the roadhouse is far greater than the threat from outside. As the water levels rise, so does the tension, but taking sides could prove deadly. Both films will be available at MIPCOM and AFM. President of Worldwide Distribution, Jeffrey Goldman stated, "The films we represent, here at MIPCOM and at other markets, reflect the diverse needs of the marketplace. We are very excited to be licensing films like Kill Katie Malone and Savages Crossing. We've continued to successfully adapt to the digital media revolution, and that's in no small part to the very marketable projects we work with, including Savages Crossing and Kill Katie Malone."
